Speed sign warning noise

Hi all,

First post, pick Explorer up yesterday.

Managed to sort most of the settings, however I’m stuck on the speed sign chime. I’ve switched the sound off, but left the main aide on (I don’t mind seeing the warning on the screen.) but every time I get back in the car it has switched the chime sound back on?!

The manual suggests it should remember the previous setting, although you can’t switch the main aide off for safety reasons.

Any thoughts?

Hi, I think you will find that it cannot be permanently switched off. A bit like the steering assist, if the vehicle is fitted with it, the manufacturer cannot fit a “permanent off” option. Only a “each time the vehicle is started” option. A bit nanny state but not Ford’s fault.
