Last Friday I was at the workshop to replace the Communication unit which is located under the back seat and factory re-register the car with Fordpass. It turned out that the new communication unit was also broken (Made by the Korean company LG for VW according to the sticker). In addition, the technician managed to break some plastic clips and another trim detail so the car was more broken when I left the workshop. The next appointment is scheduled for March.
Same problem for me, Explorer AWD Premium produced in November 2024.
For the issue with the connection to FordPass, they replaced the modem, but unfortunately, the problem persists. The dealership is in contact with Ford to determine how to proceed.
I also experience the issue of false alarms from the parking sensors—could the two things be connected?

I'm having problems with the rear parking sensors too. They randomly alert me that they need to be cleaned and then stop working. According to the dealer, they have the same problem with a lot of new Capris regarding the rear sensors. It seems to be that they don't like certain temperatures and therefore go on strike. The last thing I heard from the dealer is that they may have to replace a lot more electronics because they don't know where the problem is. Anyway, the electricians seemed pretty down. I'm starting to feel that way too.
