Hi,
I have recently received a RWD Extended Range Explorer (loving it so far) and am still rummaging around with all the gadgets and gizmos and learning about EVs (this is my first and my first automatic). In doing so, I have encountered this issue with wifi (see image).
My wifi network in the garage is supplied by a powerlink wifi repeater. My phones, whilst in the car, connect to this repeater fine but the car refuses and throws up this "security setting is not supported" message.
Does anyone know what this message actually means and what I can do about it? The repeater does have a different SSID to the main house router but the same password. My devices normally move from each uniquely named repeater seamlessly and I cannot see what 'security' issue would prevent the car from connecting to it?
This will no doubt be the first of many questions I will have about this car!
Wifi Connection failure
What encryption method are you using on the access point that the car is connecting to ? I'm guessing it's something unusual that the car doesn't support. Try switching it to no encryption for a short while and see if the car connects then. If it does, that's your problem. Remember to change back to some kind of encryption after the test.
