Adaptive Cruise Control

I'm looking to replace my PS2 and one feature I can't live without is adaptive cruise control,
My question, can it be used without the lane centering function on the Explorer? I've heard this is mandatory and can't be turned off

Yes - adaptive cruise does work when lane keeping is disabled. Just tried it today - hope that helps...

Switching between speed limited and adaptive speed control requires too many button presses for my liking and causes me to take my eyes off the road as I find the right buttons.
